Rhys Williams makes his Premier League debut as he starts for Liverpool against Tottenham.
Joel Matip was brought off at half-time of the 1-1 draw with Fulham at the weekend after suffering back spasms and that issue rules him out of the top-of-the-table clash at Anfield.
Nat Phillips, who has been preferred over Williams at centre-back, is on the bench as the 19-year-old makes his senior bow in the top flight.
That is the sole change from Sunday’s game at Craven Cottage as Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones once more line up in midfield.
Up top, Roberto Firmino is flanked by Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah as the Reds aim to go top of the table.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is once more on the bench after returning to the match-day squad for the first time this season at Fulham, while Naby Keita is also back after missing the draw in west London.
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, R.Williams, Fabinho, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones; Salah, Mane, Firmino.
Subs: Kelleher, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Origi, N. Williams, Phillips.
